My Own Top Ten Savvy Sauce Episodes That Never Made the Top Ten

On August 19th, 2007, I began following Jesus. From that day forward, documenting life in a commonplace journal enriched my life. In this journal I jot down favorite Scriptures and passages from books or conversations I don’t want to forget. I also include answered prayers, stories that build my faith, and random thoughts I am able to process better when I put pencil to paper.

Sometimes I make discoveries as I am writing, which happened on October 1st, 2021. I have a brief journal entry from that day that I want to share with you . . .

___________________________________________________________________________

My random thought from quickly listening to a couple parenting episodes to prepare for an article = There is so much gold in these episodes. Perhaps resurrecting them is where the true power to transform lives will come from. How ironic, Lord! Doesn’t that point to a greater Truth?!

___________________________________________________________________________

Since writing that entry, I’ve contemplated this further. When Jesus was resurrected from the grave, He transformed our lives both for now and forevermore! Jesus is the only way to receive salvation, but we get to participate in the abundant life He offers.

One way He models how to do this is through conversation. We read in the New Testament story after story of people being transformed through conversations and questions, and that is still available to each of us today!

I want to remind you of our mission for our podcast, The Savvy Sauce: Practical Chats for Intentional Living:

We exist to invite you to a space to meet with Jesus and be filled with joy overflowing.

One pragmatic way to experience this is to have our own practical chats for intentional living. I want to resurrect a few of my favorite episodes from the past in hopes of providing you with inspiration to have your own practical chats for intentional living.

Did you know we release a yearly series of our top ten most popular episodes on The Savvy Sauce podcast? I’m always curious what factors combine to make each of these episodes some of our most popular ones? Why are these downloaded so much more compared to others? Do people share it more? Is the guest more well known? Does the guest promote it to their audience?

As my sister, and The Savvy Sauce Podcast Editor, said, “There are nuggets in every single episode.” I agree and I have a few episodes I would add to my own top ten list that never made the official cut. I don’t want you to overlook these episodes, especially if you have not been with us since the beginning.

God’s Truth is timeless and these guests articulate practical wisdom in helpful ways, so I want to share my top ten lists that never made the official top ten. We haven’t announced the top ten from 2023 yet, so these are just a sampling of favorite episodes between 2018-2022 that never made the official list.

I hope you don’t miss these episodes because I believe they can be a catalyst for life-changing conversations.

“to inspire you by reminding you.”

I read this verse today and it sums up my hope and prayer for each soul who is taking in this text right now. I hope by reminding you of these spiritual truths and resurrecting beneficial episodes from the past, it will inspire each of you to have your own practical chats for intentional living.

Happy New Year!
